Last updated: Nov 12, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our public REST API ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. API Usage

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. You acknowledge that:

  • API responses may change without notice due to updates or maintenance.
  • We do not guarantee 100% uptime, though we strive for maximum availability.
  • Rate limits are enforced to ensure fair usage and service stability.
  • You must not exceed published rate limits or attempt to circumvent them.

3. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Send spam, malware, or phishing attempts
  • Perform denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data in bulk without permission
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the API
  • Use the API for high-risk systems (medical, aviation, nuclear, etc.)

4. Rate Limits & Fair Use

We enforce rate limiting to protect the Service:

  • Default limit: 60 requests per minute per IP
  • Excessive usage will result in temporary blocking (HTTP 429)
  • Repeated violations may lead to permanent IP ban
  • Commercial or high-volume use requires prior written approval

5. Intellectual Property

The API, documentation, and all related materials are owned by us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the public API according to these terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Total liability shall not exceed $100 USD
  • The Service is provided without warranties of any kind

7. Changes & Termination

We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. We reserve the right to:

  • Update these Terms with notice on this page
  • Suspend or terminate access for any user violating these terms
  • Block IPs or User-Agents without prior warning

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Romania.
